Family Awareness Project

Did you know that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience some form of sexual abuse before the age of 18?

Family Awareness Project sponsors and hosts events with the purpose of educating families, churches and communities in the awareness and prevention of victimization of children and youngsters.

FAP provides practical and informational solutions for keeping children safe from the day-to-day reality of violence and risk that threatens their world. In our workshop, a caring, qualified team will teach parents the facts, signs, prevention, and healing of sexual abuse of children.

We create a safe environment to discuss the sensitive issues surrounding this very common and prevalent problem in our violent and over-sexualized society. We teach how parents can create an emotionally safe and healthy home for children.

We also provide a resource center with materials teaching families how to protect themselves from abduction, and how to recognize and react to sick people that threaten our children's safety.

The children also attend a workshop were they meet the local Police Officers, check out the police cars, and learn safety tips in a fun and fear-free way.

Admission is free, and all children will receive a photo-fingerprint ID card.
